Bhavik Patel, DPM

Board-qualified podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon Bhavik Patel, DPM, brings considerable experience in all aspects of podiatric medicine to Eastside Podiatry PLLC in St. Clair Shores and Fraser, Michigan, serving men, women, and families throughout Macomb county.

Dr. Patel was born in Mobile, Alabama but moved to Michigan at the age of eight. He grew up in the Detroit metropolitan area, specifically in Utica. He began his professional pursuits at Michigan State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in pre-med and molecular genetics.

Dr. Patel subsequently enrolled at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Chicago, Illinois, where he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Before entering private practice, he completed a podiatric surgical and reconstructive residency at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. During his final year of residency, Dr. Patel was chief resident. 

As a podiatrist, Dr. Patel has special interests in ankle arthroscopy, total ankle replacement, minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, and advanced wound care techniques. 

Dr. Patel is proudly board-qualified in foot and reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Patel holds privileges at several hospitals in the Detroit, Michigan, area including St. John Moross Hospital and Medical Center, St. John Moross Wound Care and Amputation Prevention Center, Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital, Beaumont Grosse Pointe Wound Care Center, and St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Patel loves getting to know his patients and improving their quality of life. He is excited to be back in the east side of the state. 

When Dr. Patel isn’t developing custom care plans or augmenting his professional skills, you can find him spending time with his family and watching sports. He’s an active individual and enjoys playing sports such as basketball, football, and soccer.
